The Lot Radio is an online independent radio station in Williamsburg, NYC, that brings the local music community together. As the digital communication manager, I integrated some new functionalities to the previous app to enhance the streaming experience: a real-time program schedule fetched from Google Calendar, a chat room to interact with DJs, and link to online merchandise store. The current version is available for download in the App Store.

Unstructured structure is a body of work featuring a series of sonic XR sculptures that showcase a mixture of unconventional compositional techniques throughout music history. Through this project, I hope to invite viewers to reconceptualize the boundaries of music and how we listen.
Moiré Turntable is a device inspired by traditional record players. It plays not only sound recordings, but also moiré animations. Placing the needle on top of the “record” starts the sound recording. Cranking the handle on the side of the device spins the circular moiré slits, which generates the animation from the still image pattern underneath the slits. User can switch the acetate plate under the slits like switching records to play different animations and sound recordings.
Chroma Wheel is a visualization experiment that measures the tonality of a piece of music, using the HPCP(Harmonic Pitch Class Profile) algorithm in music information retrieval. The distribution of the color hues around the wheel describes the relative intensity of each of the 12 pitch classes of the equal-tempered scale within an analysis frame, which is commonly referred to as chroma features.
An interactive installation and immersive sound experience about a future AI therapy program.
An audio style transfer experiment using neural synthesis applied to audio waveforms, coupled with face interpolation video generated by reversible generative model GLOW. The synthesized videos are played after each pair of the original audio.
